| A Hi-Rel component always involves additional care, handling, quality control, inspection and testing. This means more time and attention is required to produce a Hi-Rel component, but it is well worth the effort for a superior product. All Hi-Rel assembly and testing are performed in a separate area by Weinschel assemblers assigned only to Hi-Rel components. However, all fabrication, routine processing and handling (unless specified otherwise by the client) are performed in the same manner as for all standard catalog equipment according to Aeroflex / Weinschel's high standards. All Aeroflex / Weinschel components are designed with high reliability in mind.
Most Aeroflex / Weinschel attenuators and terminations can be supplied to customer specified environmental requirements, such as MIL-STD-202. Environmental testing can include shock, vibration, moisture resistance, humidity, salt fog, thermal shock, thermal cycle, film conditioning and burn-in. Aeroflex / Weinschel's Hi-Rel components have almost a 100% survival rate during qualification testing. Additionally they can be provided to meet the requirements of MIL-DTL-3933 (fixed), MIL-A-24215 (variable) or MIL-D-39030 (terminations).
Hi-Rel units can be laser-marked and are manufactured from materials which have a TML of less than 1% and CVCM less than 0.1%.
